Disney Movies That Deserve Their Own TV Series
Disney movies have always been a part of popular culture, and their influence on children and adults is undeniable. From “The Lion King” to “Frozen,” these movies have entertained and inspired generations. However, some of these movies could have been even better as TV shows.
One of the main advantages of TV shows over movies is that they allow for more character development. In a movie, the story is condensed, and there is limited time for characters to grow and evolve. In contrast, a TV show provides more time for characters to develop, allowing the audience to become more invested in their stories.
For example, “Tangled” was enjoyable, but it felt rushed and could have benefited more character development. A TV show would have given the characters more room to grow and allowed for a more in-depth exploration of the world. Here are some more movies that need a series to do them justice:
“Zootopia”
“Zootopia” is a Disney movie that tells the story of Judy Hopps, a rabbit police officer who teams up with a con artist fox to solve a mystery in the city of Zootopia. While the movie was successful, a TV show could have explored the different neighborhoods and animals in Zootopia in more depth. Additionally, a TV show could have given more screen time to the supporting characters and explored their backstories.
“Aladdin”
Aladdin” is a classic Disney movie that tells the story of a street urchin who finds a magical lamp containing a genie who grants him three wishes. While the movie was entertaining, it would have been better as a TV show, especially since it had a series spinoff called “Aladdin: The Animated Series.” The TV show could have explored the characters’ backgrounds and given more screen time to the supporting cast, like the genie and the princess Jasmine.
“The Little Mermaid”
“The Little Mermaid” is a Disney classic that tells the story of Ariel, a mermaid princess who dreams of living on land. The movie was successful, but a TV show could have explored more of the underwater world and given more screen time to the supporting characters. A TV show could also have investigated the relationship between Ariel and her father, King Triton, in more depth.
“The Princess and the Frog”
“The Princess and the Frog” is a Disney movie that tells the story of Tiana, a young woman who dreams of opening her restaurant in New Orleans. While the film was enjoyable, it felt rushed and could have benefited from more character development. A TV show could have explored Tiana’s journey to becoming a successful chef and delved deeper into the cultural aspects of New Orleans.
“Moana””Moana” is a visually stunning Disney movie about a young girl who goes on a journey to save her people. The movie is full of action and adventure, but a TV show would have allowed for more exploration of the culture and mythology of the South Pacific. Additionally, a TV show could have explored the relationships between the characters in more depth.
